POSITION PURPOSE: The Junior Database Administrator performs tasks involving database maintenance including merging duplicate records, working with ministries to fill in missing information, and creating reports. This person will also be responsible for training of staff and volunteers and level 1 support for all database users.

NOTE: This position does not involve SQL or other programming or maintenance to the database structure or server.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 3 years of experience working with a CRM or other database
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to train large groups
  • Excellent people skills with an ability to build teams
  • Knowledge of the Planning Center platform preferable.

POSITION STATUS: Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Full time

REPORTS TO: Director of IT

THIS POSITION SERVE: Global - Business Team

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Database maintenance consistent with industry best practice
  • Creation of reports and other business intelligence as requested by staff.
  • Participation in online and offline forums to help other churches solve database issues.
  • Creation of training documentation and SOPs
  • Other tasks as assigned

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Recruit and manage a volunteer team
  • Assist staff with database issues
  • Create training materials and conduct regular staff training

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:
Performance will be measured based on the following criteria:

  • Efficiency and accuracy of work
  • Effectiveness of staff training as measured by staff feedback
  • Ability to build and lead a volunteer team consistent with Bayside DNA
  • Ability to assist staff in a timely fashion
