POSITION TITLE: Groups Coordinator

BAYSIDE PURPOSE: To know God, find family, live in freedom, and discover purpose

MINISTRY PURPOSE: To Lead and Execute Bayside Group experiences that Raise people as followers of Christ and Release them into their God-given purpose

POSITION STATUS: Hourly/Non-Exempt

WORK SCHEDULE: Part-time, 20 hours

REPORTS TO: Discipleship Director

THIS POSITION SERVES: North River Campus

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • As a representative of Jesus Christ and Bayside Community Church, your primary responsibility is pastoring, leading, and guiding the people of your community, your campus and your team.
  • Guide the people of your campus, community, and team to a growing relationship with God by meeting with them and helping them take their next step. This could include something within Groups or something else. Pastor them and shepherd them well to their next step.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • People – Spend time with people to uncover their passion. Equip and empower them to lead a Bayside Group or serve in other leadership capacities.
  • People - Build a team of group volunteers and coaching structure to execute ministry.
  • People - Building and developing freedom groups, freedom leaders, and coaching structure.
  • Task - Produce a successful Bayside Groups Launch 3 times a year. (Summer, Spring, Fall.)
  • Task - Assist in developing Bayside Group's culture by consulting with all other ministry leads at your campus to help ensure 80% of people at the campus are a part of a group.
  • Task - Exhibit responsible, dependable behaviors as an employee in the day-to-day operations of Bayside Community Church
  • Task - Training with quarterly coaching and group leaders huddles.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES:

  1. Achievement of your supervisors' expectations around meeting with the people of your campus, community, and your team. TBD on a campus-by-campus basis
  2. Achievement of a growing and well-staffed coaching structure
  3. Achievement of goals for % of people in Groups and number of groups.

Minimum Qualifications

Character & Chemistry

  • Personal integrity in all areas of life
  • Must have completed the Growth Track at Bayside or moving forward in doing so.
  • Regularly attends worship services with their family
  • Is an active participant in a group and is a regular tither
